Purpose of the Expedition
This expedition to Antarctica is centered on supporting scientific research in one of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth. Led by Dr. Jeffrey Bozanic, the research being conducted involves exploring new sites in hopes of discovering new species and supporting ongoing Antarctic science. The trip requires precise planning, clear communication, and coordination across research, travel, and safety considerations in an environment where margins for error are extremely small.
My Contribution
I am supporting the planning, marketing, and execution of the expedition, working directly with Dr. Bozanic. My role includes engaging prospective participants, supporting outreach and promotion at industry conferences and events, and I have implemented systems to manage participant communications and coordination. The work has combined my sales and organization skills with something I am passionate about, exploration and undersea research.
